July 13, 2010 | UPLAND, CA LOMPOC CALIFORNIA POLICE DEPARTMENT PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE
RoboVu & Insight Video Net tapped for total citywide enterprise video solution

RoboVu, LLC recently announced that they were selected to deliver Phase 1 of a city-wide enterprise video management solution starting with in-car video for the Lompoc California Police Department. RoboVu partnered with Insight Video Net to design the complete solution comprised of video and audio from in-car cameras, traffic cameras, interview room cameras, jail cameras, special event cameras and back end digital asset management. Eventually this solution will offer a bridge to the private sector to allow secured sites like banks and sensitive sites like schools to be managed with one video and audio asset center.

"We evaluated the in-car video solutions from multiple organizations over the course of 60 days and selected the RoboVu & Insight Video Net solution." Said Police Captain Larry Ralston "We were looking for a total solution that was feature rich, easy-to-use, cost-effective, had a good track record for uptime and their solution fit the bill. More importantly, our goal is to have one partner that handles the computer/video from the patrol cars and the fixed video that we want to address in Phase 2 and Phase 3. Having one organization like RoboVu oversee and manage the project addresses all the concerns undertaking such a large project."

In phase 1, Lompoc California Police Department will be outfitted with Robo III's (rugged mobile data computers) and RoboCAM (rugged in-car video) from RoboVu. The RoboCAM solution uses the integrated software, RoboEYE, that officers will use to tag events in the field. Video will wirelessly upload from the vehicle to the server upon its return to the police station. Video collected from the vehicles will be automatically managed as evidence using Insight Video Net's CMS Flex software that also provides tight audit trails for each file that Lompoc collects. In Phase 2 and Phase 3, Lompoc plans to use CMS Flex to manage all other video collected from within the department and from the public, as well as other digital evidence such as crime scene photos and 9-1-1 audio files using the same evidentiary format and tight audit trail capabilities.

"We are excited to continue to work with such a forward thinking and strategic agency as Lompoc Police," said Ed Foster, RoboVu CEO & Co-Founder. "We've worked with this agency for the past five years and have been impressed with their long range plans for continuing to expand their technology infrastructure to increase their efficiencies that overall increase public safety. The RoboCAM solution is only the first step in their plan and they are looking to the future to continue to expand their existing infrastructure to meet their growing needs with our RoboSPY solution that handles fixed cameras and audio assets."

NOVEMBER 16, 2009 INSIGHT VIDEO NET GOING GREEN
DIGITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT SOLUTION PROVIDER TO OPERATE VIRTUALLY IN "THE CLOUD"

Insight Video Net announced today that it plans to transition their brick and mortar operation to a virtual office environment in an effort to meet their corporate responsibility and sustainability goals. "This is an exciting change for Insight Video Net that allows us to make a positive impact to the environment and contribute to a more balanced and healthy lifestyle for our employees at the same time," said Robert A. Carreon, CEO. "Given that we're a high technology company, we have envisioned operating a virtual office for some time. With the current state of the economy, we were looking at ways to reduce costs so we could pass the savings on to our customers, so this move at this time made a lot of sense. This is a win-win situation."

Leveraging current technologies like broadband internet, virtual private and secure networks, VOIP telephone, video conferencing and business centers will enable Insight Video Net to operate a virtual office environment that will network their employee base like a collection of satellite branch offices. When necessary, business meetings will be conducted through business center rentals allowing a broader reach. Employees will also be given training for creating a green home office environment that incorporates methods for reducing power consumption and recycling. "The transition is not expected to take place overnight," stated Miles Cowan, CTO. "We will be making changes over the next several months in stages so there will be no impact to customer service and minimal disruption to employees. We anticipate the project to be completed shortly after the new year." Insight Video Net sees the following benefits in making the transition to a virtual office:

Positive environmental impact

Employees currently collectively consume hundreds of gallons of gasoline and travel hundreds of hours per week to the corporate office in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. By employing virtual offices, Insight Video Net calculates that they will positively impact their carbon footprint through the reduction of Co2 emissions by 158 metric tons. This equates to the yearly use of electricity for 20 households, 4,053 fully mature planted trees, or over 289K miles driven by the average passenger car in just one year's time.1 In addition, Insight Video Net's CMS Flex software virtually eliminates the need for storing digital assets on CD's or DVD's, reducing cost for customers and reducing the amount of waste in the landfills.

Improved work-life balance

Employees are expected to realize many personal benefits from this eco-friendly virtual office environment including saving commute time, travel expenses, food expenses and other workday related expenses as well as a reduction in stress thereby contributing to better work-life balance. Studies have shown that not only does a virtual work environment provide higher employee satisfaction but also significantly increases productivity.2 Insight Video Net expects the virtual office environment to decrease operating expenses including leased space, furniture, and other office management expenses and they recently adjusted prices to pass the savings on to customers, making their solutions more affordable.

Increased social responsibility

Insight Video Net has a proven track record of demonstrating social responsibility and going green is the next logical step. One example of their social responsibility commitment is that employees are entitled to take an additional paid week off to do volunteer work of their choosing. In the past, employees have donated their time to helping refugees in Turkey, building orphanages in Romania and Mexico, and have contributed talents to help economic development efforts in poor developing cities in the United States.

July 21, 2009 INSIGHT VIDEO NET'S CMS FLEX PROVIDES POWERFUL AUTOMATED VIDEO MANAGEMENT

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA---Insight Video Net today announced the release of CMS Flex, a powerful automated video management software solution for the security industry. CMS Flex is the latest release in the line of CMS or Central Management System software products, with a long-standing and proven track record in mobile video applications for the public safety market. This latest release, CMS Flex, is designed to automatically manage video from mobile and physical security environments plus any other digital assets related to an incident, which could include audio files, photographs and even documents. This allows users to build a comprehensive security library that can be quickly accessed using simple queries while protecting unauthorized information from being released to the media or internet. File operations such as viewing, exporting, or burning a file to a DVD can be restricted based on individual users or groups of users so only those that should be granted access to information are granted access. Policies can be developed to automatically distribute files to different storage locations based on the incident type and stored for any pre-determined time frame. Once the time frame expires, the file is removed from storage, helping to reduce the high cost of video storage. With DigitalProof™ audit trail capabilities; a report can be quickly generated showing what occurred throughout the life of a file, making it easy to investigate security breaches. (More)
